It’s a new year and time for a new list of some of my favorite things. I didn’t realize it until I listed a few of my options but all of these fall under a comfort/self-care theme. Winter is a natural time to focus on cozy so I think this is appropriate.
Favorite Coffee Mugs
There’s nothing better than a nice mug of hot tea or a Chai tea latte, especially on cold winter nights. Actually there is something better than that, it’s having your favorite drink in a favorite mug. These are my current favorites.
I generally keep the temperature at 68 degrees in my condo. I love to see how long I can go before I turn on the heat each winter. That being said, I also love to climb into a toasty warm bed every night and burrow under the blankets. I do try to remember to turn the blanket off before I go to sleep though because otherwise I wake up drenched in sweat.
My current blanket of choice is a Biddeford electric blanket.
Bella Grace Magazine
This is my all time favorite magazine! I discovered this magazine probably 2 years ago. I don’t even know how to properly describe this magazine. It’s filled with beautiful pictures and stories of discovering the magic in ordinary moments. It comes out quarterly and I am always eagerly awaiting the next issue.
They also have some sister publications that are fantastic. The Field Guide to Everyday Magic is a journal type magazine that’s filled with writing prompts and beautiful quotes and pictures.
Another sister publication is their Bella Grace Cozy Issues that focuses on “hygge”-the Danish concept of embracing coziness and simplicity.
Tazo Classic Chai Latte
If you read this blog with any regularity then you will know my fondess for Chai Tea Lattes. I like them hot and iced. I use the Keurig brand Cafe Escapes Chai tea latte pods for my hot chai lattes at home. I recently discovered the Tazo Classic Chai Latte concentrate though that I like to use for my iced chai tea lattes. I mix the Tazo chai latte with an equal amount of milk and pour it over some ice and it’s delicious!! You can also heat the mixture if that’s your preference.
So what are some of your favorite cozy items? Let me know in the comments.
